from a table at panera bread...
thiswayisout turns...er, um...1000! okay, so i started the counter on 500 to make things look good...as it turns out, i made a BUNCH of other stuff look good in the process and i'm willing to lay claim that the idea, design, launching of the site and domino effect of this...blog (there, i said it) has surely reached at least 1000 others in this its 11th week out. and, since the counter tracks only unique hits, me, the boys and the ladies will give away a mere 150 hits. oh, did i mention that the site was out just over two weeks before the counter was added? who knows how many millions visted during those two weeks!
so...
a toast to Venice Maki, who lends reason to this effort. you move me. and at least 1000 others at the moment it seems (check back tomorrow)...that's something to look forward to man...that and world cup soccer i mean.....i meant to say, world cup soccer and that...i mean...well, you get it.
to my friend Ruzzo who has embraced this blog and given me valuable personal support, as any good friend would. any good friend who would endorse something that would ultimately keep you up late nights (see this post's time for details), land you in the 100+ degree AZ mountains recklessly risking life & limb catapulting from high rocks and force one to learn HTML, JAVA and Flash...again. thanks ruzzo. you sure are swell. not as swelled as my head can get sometimes, but swell nonetheless...
to the girls, Lucia & Special K, for keeping up, helping out and making it real. 'nuff said.
to the listeners of thiswayisout. i'm pretty excited about the future of what we're doing here. thank you for all of your visits, purchases of Venice's fantasmo debut release which way is out? and your personal support at shows and other events -- for both Venice Maki and thiswayisout. i would really love to hear more comments from everyone...i'm very interested to read comments like this, these, and who could forget this one. need help? remember, this is about you too...
the whole thing has been a bit of a balancing act really. but it is one that i am enjoying...as it appears that you are too. there's lots of new things coming...
stay tuned...
